Selbst Peter Higgs, der den Begriff geprägt hat, hat keinerlei Ahnung, was das in Anwendungen bringen soll:

Und wer noch einmal „Gottesteilchen“ sagt, dem verpasse ich eine mit der Shotgun. Der Begriff hatte nämlich ursprünglich auch eine ganz andere Bedeutung:
„God Particle“ is actually a politeness-corrupted version of „Goddam Particle“—so called because the goddam particle was so difficult to find.“
Super Sache, diese Teilchenphysik! Wendet euch bitte zukünftig wichtigeren Sachen zu! Idioten.
